Frank Vogt (Eindhoven, The Netherlands) plays with space and time in his painto- graphs. But his game is in the least innocent; images that are etched into our memory are completely wrenched from its context. He paints with light and pixels and sets himself against the traditional idea. Icons will be exploited or revitalized, whereby a strange, daunting feeling comes over you. Why are we so afraid of the unknown? Why do we clench to old traditions?
